We are pleased to share that the Faculty/PI Dashboard is now available in the FinHub Reporting Portal. The Faculty/PI Dashboard Reports in FinHub are designed to give Faculty, Principal Investigators, and Co-Principal Investigators a centralized view of their award and project details, as well as financial reports for their Sponsored Projects and Faculty Funds.

These reports include all awards and associated projects in the Oracle Projects & Grants Management module, which we refer to as PGM. This includes two main categories of funding:

  • Sponsored Projects, including cost-share tied to a specific sponsored award
  • Faculty Funds, including start-up, internal awards, discretionary funds, resource allocation commitments (uncommitted cost share), and faculty-specific gifts. These funds are housed in PGM for Senate Faculty. Exceptions can be granted for other job titles (eg, Professional Researcher). It is expected that faculty funds specifically allocated to Senate Faculty are housed in faculty members' home departments.

The Financial Management Modernization (FMM) team has worked to review these reports and information; however, as with any new system implementation, we may find occasional errors or problems with this initial rollout. Please know we will be working closely with staff to promptly identify and resolve any issues. Also, please note that UCPath Projections (payroll liens) are currently limited as we make final adjustments. Full payroll liens will be available soon and will be managed by department/research administrators.

To report an issue, provide feedback, or ask a question, use this form or reach out to Lynsey Trueman directly at ljknut@ucsb.edu. Additionally, the FMM team will host an “Introduction to the Faculty/PI Dashboard” session via Zoom on Monday, November 3 from 10-11am. There is no need to pre-register. Add this session to your calendar and click on the Zoom link to join.  Additional workshops will be announced.
