This message provides an update on the progress of the PGM Admin Dashboard, EPM Project Forecasting, and related reporting efforts in FinHub.

PGM Admin Dashboard: The PGM Admin Dashboard reports reflect accurate balances for awards and projects, including budget, actuals, and non-payroll liens. This ensures that the financial information you are reviewing is reliable and can be used with confidence for your work.

Please note that Faculty Start-up and Retention Awards and Projects currently reflect budgets from the April 2025 conversion balances. The incremental adjustment to incorporate May-June 2025 activity is expected to be completed in the next week and reflected in the PGM Admin Dashboard Reports.

Enterprise Performance Management (EPM): We are working to finalize the new Project Forecasting module in EPM, which will automatically calculate UCPath Projections (payroll liens) based on funding entries from UCPath. This has been a significant undertaking, but it will also be a critical improvement. Automating payroll commitments will greatly reduce the amount of manual entry required, helping streamline processes and improve efficiency across the campus. Once that module is live, the remaining balance in FinHub will also reflect the payroll commitments.

New Report: A new report has been created in the PGM Admin Dashboard in the Award Financials tab. The Faculty Funds Financials by Fund report displays project balances by fund number. Since Faculty Funds projects can have multiple fund numbers associated with one project, this report provides a more detailed view of balances for those projects.

Reports Coming Soon: In addition to these improvements, several new reports are being developed for the PGM Admin Dashboard, including:

  • A detailed transactions report
  • Payroll reports
  • A drill report for encumbrances (non-payroll liens)

Your feedback has been invaluable in shaping these reports. By reporting discrepancies and sharing suggestions, you have helped us quickly identify and resolve bugs, refine functionality, and prioritize the creation of new reports as campus needs evolve.

The Faculty/PI Dashboard implementation has been delayed until UCPath Commitments are fully live. In the meantime, you can continue to export reports from the PGM Admin Dashboard to share with your Faculty/PIs as needed. To assist you, we have included a Quick Reference Guide for exporting reports from PGM.

In the coming days, we will email all Faculty and PIs to inform them that accurate financial reports are now available in FinHub. They will be advised to reach out to their designated Research Financial Analysts or Project Analysts for Faculty Funds to obtain this information. We ask that you please review the completeness of a faculty member’s report when requested before sending to ensure all expected projects are included.

As the primary points of contact for your Faculty/PIs, we want to ensure you are equipped with the information and resources you need. We have updated the FMM website’s Faculty page with important information which you can share with faculty in case they have questions that are addressed on this page.
